Zombies game, as well as all Chinese spin-offs, Marigold is the second to last plant unlocked on the Roof. The fact that she produces coins might be a pun on her name, which contains the word "gold" (Mari gold). In terms of appearance however, Marigold more closely resembles the common daisy ( Bellis perennis). Marigold is based on and named after the real-life plant of the same name, a genus of about 15–20 species of annual and perennial herbaceous plants in the daisy family Asteraceae native to southwestern Asia, western Europe and the Mediterranean.
